Abstract

This community service activity aimed to develop a liquid biopesticide product derived from coconut coir waste and to assess its business feasibility through an agribusiness entrepreneurship approach. The program was conducted at P4S Bintang Tani Sejahtera, Bondowoso Regency, during a field internship period using participatory methods, including observation, hands-on practice, interviews, and literature review. The production process employed pyrolysis technology to produce liquid smoke grade 3, which was applied as an environmentally friendly biopesticide. The results indicated that the product is technically feasible for pest control in crops. Business feasibility analysis showed an R/C ratio of 1.25, a return on investment (ROI) of 2.09%, and a break-even point (BEP) below the actual production capacity, indicating that the business is financially viable. Furthermore, this activity demonstrated that coconut coir waste supports circular economy principles while increasing the added value of coconut commodities. Therefore, the program not only produced an innovative product but also provided empirical justification for waste-based agribusiness development.
